AdWords Marketing Tips - Checklist for High Quality Score
Filed Under (affiliate programs) by Rolf Joho on 18-05-2010
Google AdWords need to remove the poor quality search advertisers so they introduced this thing known as quality score to do just that. All you need to do is to have a high quality score & you will be rewarded with lower cost per click. Here is a quick checklist for getting a high quality score.
Google Keyword Tool
Enter your landing page into the Google keyword tool & you will noticed that the keywords given to you are sorted by relevance. Take the top few keywords & use them in your campaigns, almost all the time, your quality score will be very good.
Keywords Theme
Do not dump too many keywords into a single adgroup! Instead, sort out all your keywords carefully in tightly related themes & place them in multiple adgroups. You will usually end up with multiple adgroups with less than 10 keywords in each of them.
Keywords Placement – Ads
Show off your keywords! Place your keywords in your ads, ideally, in the headline of your ad. If you can, show your keyword in your display domain name or folder of your domain name. The other benefit is that, your ads will be shown in bold, drawing more attention to you & getting you more clicks.
Keywords Placement – Landing Pages
Your keywords must be included in your landing pages. Let them appear in your title tags, meta tags, meta descriptions, meta keywords, H1 tags & sprinkled all over naturally. Do not stuff your keywords all over because you will be spamming with keywords & this will cause people to lose their trust in you.
