Making Money With No Money Up-Front: Affiliate Marketing Programs
Filed Under (Affiliate, Affiliate Commission, Affiliate Directory, Affiliate Guid) by Rolf Joho on 20-11-2009
If you’ve done any investigation at all of Internet marketing, you’ll know there are plenty of scams. Unfortunately, unscrupulous marketers feed on the hordes of inexperienced people who are looking for better lives. It’s sad, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to get involved with scams or at least bad business ideas that line marketers’ pockets and leave buyers with nothing. Fortunately, there are ways you can make money online with no up-front investment. This should be good news to those who have had run-ins with online scheme run by rip-off artists!
But sometimes one person’s scam is another person’s opportunity. A good example of this is the recent controversy over an Internet business-in-a-box, called site Build It. Some believe that at least one person has created a Site Build It affiliate review that wasn’t entirely accurate. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he might be right about his product being on the up-and-up. But it would be up to any potential buyer to do his or her own research.
One of the main ways I like to make money on the Web is above-board and also relatively simple to implement. I make money with no money on HubPages. HubPages — a community blogging site — makes it quite simple to write content that generates ad revenue. You can create as many or as few content “hubs” (pages) as you want. Each hub you create can make up to five types of affiliate marketing revenue: eBay and Amazon products and services, Google AdSense and Kontera ads, and your own affiliate link(s). You get the revenue from 60% of the page views that generate money and the people who own HubPages get 40%. Affiliate programs are an exception to that rule though; One hundred percent of income generated by click-throughs from an affiliate link on a hub would belong to you. It takes a while to get good at building solid hubs but the revenue you can generate over time makes it worth it.
There are many affiliate marketing programs out there but I like to use RevResponse on my hubs, because it provides valuable free information for people. When people click on links to any of the RevResponse publications or white papers and qualify, you benefit financially. It’s that simple. Qualifying is not a shoe-in though, so that aspect is important to understand. To learn more about the rules, you might want to read this RevResponse affiliate marketing review. The information in the review will help you know whether the RevResponse program is right for your site or blog.
