Can Anyone Do Affiliate Marketing? (Yes, BUT…)
Can anyone do affiliate marketing and become
successful? That is a question that I have received a lot recently. And that's exactly what
I'm going to talk about in this video. My name is Mikael and I've worked online for years. Snd
recently I've started making more content about affiliate marketing because many of my viewers
have asked for more information about how I've been able to use that to generate a full-time
online income.
And one concern many people have is whether they can do it or not. So therefore in this
video I will talk about whether anyone actually can become successful with affiliate marketing
or what are the requirements to actually do get success. So let me just start by saying that
theoretically anyone can do affiliate marketing and can get success with it. But the reality
is also that probably around 90% or so of the people that tries to do affiliate marketing
do not succeed. But that does not mean that it's not possible. But there are some very good reasons
usually why people do not succeed. And I work with hundreds of people and I know a lot of people
that are successful and that are not successful with affiliate marketing.
And in this video I will
share with you what makes it it possible for you or what makes it likely for you to succeed so
you can find out if you have what it takes. So in my experience there are two main reasons why
people fail with affiliate marketing. And that so many people fail the first is that people are
just impatient. Usually they don't give it enough time or not effort. For some reason because it's
online, people think that they can just put in two hours a week for a month and then they will
make $5,000-$10,000 per month.
That's not how it works. And then people usually give up after a month,
two month, three months because they don't see results. But you do need to be willing to put in
time and effort. And we'll talk a little bit more about later exactly how much time that I recommend
recommend that you spend on this. But first I want to go over the second big reason that I see many
people fail and it's kind of closely related to the first where people expect quick returns and
then give up and are not willing to put in effort. And that is that they just simply believe the
wrong people. There are a lot of marketers out there selling their own courses that claim that
you can just click a few buttons and earn hundreds of dollars per day with affiliate marketing by
using their system. The only ones making money from that is them and the people promoting that.
Unfortunately there's a whole circle of people doing that for each other. And that's a big
reason of why many people fail because they simply believe the wrong people.
They think that
it's possible to earn $200 per day starting today or $500 starting today with affiliate marketing
without any effort. And they're willing to put in a lot of money in a course teaching that. And
then they don't succeed. So they give up or they move on to the next course, pay hundreds of dollars
for that, and that doesn't help and then they just start blaming affiliate marketing say oh affiliate
marketing doesn't work. Well it definitely does. But there is a lot of poor information out there
that you need to stay away from. But let's go over what you then need to do to increase your
chances of success.
So to avoid the two traps I just talked about, there are a couple of things
you should do if you're a complete beginner at affiliate marketing. And the first one is to find
a good reliable affiliate marketing course that truly teaches you the steps of building a solid
long-term business and getting support at the same time. Stay away from any course that claims you
can become rich overnight or in a few days or without any effort. That will just waste your
time and money. But finding a good course if you're a complete beginner and have never done
anything like this before is essential for your chances of success, in my personal opinion.
Very
few people will be able to do it without getting any kind of help or guidance. And even if they do,
then it will take way longer than what you can do if you actually get the right steps taught by
someone that has actually done it. And there are many good courses like that. There's a lot of poor
courses. But you just need to figure out like, okay what approach do you like. What teaching style do
you like? What traffic source are you interested in? And then choose a course based on that. And
then the second really really important thing to make sure you have the best possible chance
of success is to stick to what is taught.
Make sure to stick to it and take action continuously
for at least 6 to 12 months. That will build the foundation. And then from there, you can really
scale it. But if you're not willing to put in 6 to 12 months of effort to potentially earn $5,000, $10,000, $15,000
$20,000 or more per month online, then this is not for you. You're building a real business. That
does take time. That does take effort. There's no guarantee when you will start earning. Some
people start seeing results after a few months. For some it takes more than a year before they
start really seeing traction. That all depends of course on the course you're taking, the effort you
put in, and many other unforeseen circumstances. But without continuous effort, you will definitely
not succeed. And in my opinion you should be able to put at least five hours per week, better 10, 5
to 10 hours as a minimum.
So if you can see that you cannot put five hours per week into it, then
you can still of course do affiliate marketing. But of course it will take significantly longer
because at first it just takes long to learn all the basic concepts and skills and all that. And of
course if you have more time, then you can also learn and move for forward faster. But I would say
minimum 5 to 10 hours per week is a good starting point. What I did I when I first started that
was also around that. And then I had a lot of freelance jobs to pay the bills and then I as I
started making money from affiliate marketing, I scaled down on that and put more and more hours
into affiliate marketing and an online business, in general, so I could grow that.
So that's one
way to do it. But you need to be willing to set aside some time so you know that you are working
on your business every single week. If not, you will not get results. So to sum it all up, if you
avoid the traps that I talk about in this video and if you follow the couple of recommendations
I give, then that would significantly increase your chances of success with affiliate marketing,
and then it is theoretically something anyone can do.
Because the reality is that a lot of people
are actually not willing to commit enough time to this and unfortunately a lot of people have
also just fallen into the trap of following the wrong people and wasting a lot of time and
money that way. And I hope this will help you avoid falling into the traps. And if it has also

no need to focus your energy on time of that. And then at least you know what to expect and can use
